Seaford Secondary College

Seaford Secondary College is located in Seaford, a southern suburb of Adelaide, just 1.5km from some of South Australia’s finest surfing beaches. It takes ten minutes by bus to reach a large shopping centre and 45 minutes by train to Adelaide city centre. Seaford train station is right next to the school.

Seaford Secondary College focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), IT, Media, Graphics, Visual and Performing Arts including a large music programme. There are workshops for wood and metal, as well as a kitchen suitable for gastronomy.

Several focused sports programs are offered. These include volleyball and football and – especially for the Internationals – surfing and aquatics.

Volleyball has been a part of Seaford Secondary School for many years. The volleyball program is open to beginners through to very advanced athletes. With many different competitions, sometimes it’s just about competing, but often it’s about winning, developing advanced skills and focusing on tactics.

Soccer (soccer) is also a growing sport at the college. Beginners to very good players can participate in the soccer program. Students who choose to join the program have numerous opportunities to practice and play throughout the year. There is a soccer club and the opportunity to participate in the local Moana Districts Soccer Club league on Saturday mornings.

Surfing and aquatics (snorkeling, kayaking and bodyboarding) is offered in cooperation with a local water sports club, but only in the warmer seasons, i.e. terms 1 and 4. It costs nothing extra and takes place not far from the school on the beautiful beach of Port Noarlunga.

A school musical is performed every two years. This is always a spectacular event with live bands, choreography, singing, acting, stage design, lighting, sound and costumes.
