Sandringham College

Sandringham College is located in the southeastern Bayside suburbs of Melbourne and only 1,500 metres from the beach. The city centre of Melbourne is about 15 km away. Although it is only a medium-sized school, it offers a wide range of courses, two thirds academic and one third vocational.

In addition to the standard subjects, there is a focus on art with a wide range of dance, drama and music. There is also a strong focus on technical-creative courses such as photography, video production, product design (textiles and wood) and digital media including software development and programming. Sandringham College rightly has an excellent reputation for its good programs in the field of performing and visual arts.

The range of nature-related subjects is also very extensive. So close to the sea “Marine Science” is a must. There are also “Outdoor Education and Environmental Studies” ( subjects such as climbing, surfing, snorkelling, kayaking, horse riding) as well as agriculture and horticulture (including vegetable cultivation and animal care).

In the last school year (Year 12) no uniform is required. The atmosphere is more like an university than a school. The teachers are very friendly and helpful. In return, independent and committed learning is expected from all students as well as a willingness to perform well in chosen subjects.
