Mitchelton State High School

Mitchelton State High School is surrounded by green lawns and close to beautiful conservation parks within walking distance of the Mitchelton Train Station. The city centre of Brisbane is 10 km further southwest. It is a comparatively small school with 470 students, which makes it easy to make friends and maintain personal contact with the teachers.

The academic focus of Mitchelton State High School is on science, mathematics, the performing arts and design. There is a specialized program for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects including programming, robotics and related competitions.

Mitchelton State High campus also houses the Brisbane North West Trade Training Centre (BNWTTC). This centre is available to several schools and is a modern, well-equipped facility for specialised vocational training in the fields of electrical, mechanical and automotive engineering.
