Mercedes College

Private School

Mercedes College is a highly respected, academically sophisticated, private school located at the edge of the Adelaide Foothills, overlooking the city and the vast South Australian coastline. The campus has picturesque gardens, modern and traditional buildings and a variety of excellent facilities including a performing arts centre, two gymnasiums, tennis courts and playing fields.

The school is one of the few South Australian schools to offer the International Baccalaureate continuously from Year 1 to Year 12. In Years 11 and 12, preparation for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) can be chosen as an alternative to the IB Diploma.

The excellent drama, music and film program is highly valued.

Mercedes College has a long history of welcoming international students but only accepts five students from the same country in any one year. Usually only two Germans are present at any one time. The school offers tailor-made English support programs for each international student.

Most of the host families of Mercedes College are part of the school community and therefore usually well known. This makes it possible for the school to choose the right family for each student.

The Mercedes College Campus is a WIFI Campus and provides all international students with a MacBook Air laptop.

The school offers a number of school camps and retreats as part of the Outdoor Education program.
