Kenmore State High School

Kenmore State High School is beautifully situated on about 11 hectares of land in the west of Brisbane. It has an excellent academic reputation and in 2007 it won the National School Award. Kenmore State High School has strong focus on mathematics, but it also offers excellent science classes and has an outstanding and broad music program.

Every two years with the start of the school year in Term 1, the school launches its own elaborate musical production. Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of different roles (cast, band and technical crew) to deliver a professional, high quality show to a public audience.

Extracurricular activities include an extensive dance program with a junior and a senior dance troupe. Students have the opportunity to take part in various dance workshops led by professionals. The dance troupes do the cheerleading at the school’s sporting events.

Kenmore State High School is a culturally diverse school and has developed a number of local and international partnerships. The school has a growing and vibrant international student program and exchange programs are conducted with four partner schools abroad.
