Kedron State High School

Kedron State High School in Wooloowin, a northern suburb of Brisbane, is a traditional high school with high academic achievement and a long history of excellence as an educational institution. Kedron State High School focuses on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths), foreign languages and music, with regular classes supported by targeted extracurricular activities. The STEAM subjects, for example, focus on design thinking, i.e. problem solving and idea development, and on concepts related to the founding and management of companies.

Kedron’s highly acclaimed instrumental music, a variety of ensembles and choir program cover all school years, with a focus on dynamic and innovative music courses in the classroom. Each year, it offers all students a wide range of instruments, including the harp. It is supported by extracurricular activities such as music trips, camps and competitions, as well as student concerts in all genres of jazz and classical music.
