Devonport High School

Devonport High School is situated in the centre of Devonport, a coastal town in North West Tasmania. There are excellent sports facilities near by including a swimming pool, basketball stadium, surfing, sailing, and rock climbing facilities. The school buildings have an older feel with a certain charm. From autumn 2020, extensive renovations and redesign work worth over $10 million will begin. When these are completed in 2021, the school will have new, state-of-the-art learning facilities.

Devonport High School focuses on the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) as well as multimedia. International students numbers are still very low at around three per year, and they are welcomed with open arms by their Australian classmates and teachers. The school takes very good care of their international students with special excursions to the local wildlife park, local industry and national park visits.
