Collingwood College

Collingwood College is one of Melbourne’s oldest and most prestigious schools. Located in the Collingwood district and just three kilometres from Melbourne’s city centre, the school caters for students from grades one through 12 on two modern campuses. The primary and secondary schools are located on the main campus.

Collingwood College is a multicultural school. Nearly 30 percent of students have a language background other than English. To that end, an intensive EAL (English as an Additional Language) program is offered, which also benefits the more than 50 international students that attend this warm and welcoming school.

In addition to the wide range of academic subjects within the curriculum, Collingwood College offers a number of co-curricular programs, including Instrumental Music, Visual and Performing Arts, and Outdoor Education. The college is currently constructing two Olympic basketball courts and recently completed renovations to a new science wing and three computer labs.

The school’s large and active camping program provides opportunities for all students to have intense outdoor experiences, learn about new environments and habitats, and build friendships with classmates and teachers. All classes conduct their own camps at various locations. The college has two 19-seat buses, campers, and a selection of camping equipment to ensure stress-free camp experiences.
