Balmoral State High School is the only school in Queensland that has a partnership with the aerospace company Boeing, which gives students the opportunity to work with scientists and engineers on real aerospace projects.
The school has excellent equipment and facilities. Its science and maths courses are second to none. The newly renovated, air-conditioned science learning centre offers state-of-the-art laboratories for research-based, hands-on learning.
In addition to a wide range of core academic subjects, Balmoral State High School is known for its innovative and vibrant arts faculty: film, television and new media, fine arts, instrumental music, music, dance and theatre. Every two years, students of all grades have the opportunity to perform in a musical production in the school. Every winter a ski trip is offered.
