Kawana Waters State College

Kawana Waters State College is located about 100 km north of Brisbane on the coastal strip between Moolooloolaba and Caloundra. In the immediate vicinity of the campus are Lake Kawana and the rowing and kayaking course Stockland Park, a world-class sports facility. Some of the best beaches on the Sunshine Coast are within walking distance of the school.

This proximity to lakes and the sea is reflected in the Aquatic Excellence Programme, which offers just about everything you can do in the water: Surfing, kitesurfing, kayaking and swimming, but also scuba diving and snorkelling and even water polo at the nearby Kawana Aquatic Center. For those who prefer a solid ground under their feet, there is also the Football School of Excellence and a whole range of other sports.

Kawana Waters State College continues to focus on Musical Dance and Drama and Marine Science, for which it has an exceptionally good laboratory and boat facilities. The school has many years of experience with international guest students. It is not only known for its friendly and supportive atmosphere, but also for a successful curriculum between academic excellence and more practice-oriented “learning for life”.
