Henley High School

Henley High School is located in the coastal suburb of Henley Beach, only 700 metres from the beach, 8 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Adelaide city centre.

The school has a high academic standard, with emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Information and Communication Technology, the Arts (including jewellery design and manufacture) and Sports. A purpose-built centre for STEM subjects is the latest addition to the excellent facilities at Henley High School.

Henley Sports Academy offers a dedicated program for over 400 high achieving students in 10 sports, underlining its commitment to the development of both sporting and academic skills. Participants have access to qualified coaches provided by the school or in partnership with state sports associations.

The training plan includes elements such as team and strategy development, individual and group strength and conditioning programs, as well as video analysis and fitness analysis. Sports activities take place throughout the year with participation in various competitions, events and exchange programs. In keeping with the sports academy, the school is surrounded by a wealth of sporting and recreational facilities, including five golf courses.

Henley High School is also home to an on-campus disability unit, which houses students with various mental and physical disabilities. In recent years, much work has been done by teachers to adapt to new pupils with complex needs.
