Como Secondary College

Como Secondary College is a friendly, multicultural school surrounded by tall pine trees in a green setting, making it a very pleasant learning environment. The centre of Perth is just under six kilometres away and the Curtin University of Technology is nearby.

Como Secondary College offers very good facilities, from extensive computer facilities to spacious sports fields. This includes a new performing arts complex for music, media and drama classes, as well as a fine arts building. Other facilities include a state-of-the-art photography centre and excellent science laboratories.

International students benefit from the college’s close association with Curtin University and exclusive access to its technology park.

Of note is the EMITS programme (similar to STEM). It gives students with a passion for maths, science and information technology the opportunity to hone their skills in exciting ways. It is run in close collaboration with Curtin University.

With the Golf and Hockey Academies, Como Secondary College offers two of Australia’s best school-based specialist sports programs. Details can be found under the “Sports” tab.

The College’s Contemporary Jazz program is regarded as a hub for creativity and musical development, providing students with a creative environment in which to learn skills and develop their musical experience. Read more under “Music”.
